about us

We are a close knit family church founded by few of our faithful brothers sometime in 12 June 2011, whose mission is to reach out and spread the word of God amongst our 'kababayans' (fellow Filipinos) and within the local community, all for God's glory. We yearn for Christian friendship and fellowship and we joyously open our doors to everyone, from all walks of life, who are in need of a family in Perth, WA.

Our purpose is to lead people to Jesus Christ and become members of His family, transform lives through a growing and yielding relationship with God and equip them for ministry and service.

mission statement

The Jesus Reigns Ministries is a caring church committed to bring people towards a right and fruitful relationship with God, to model a church where Jesus is the Head and members are discipled, and to help transform the communities so that there is love of God, economic sufficiency, lasting peace, public justice, and individual righteousness.

vision

To bring all peoples regardless of race, status or belief to the Kingdom of the Living God in obedience to the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ thus experiencing all the blessings of the Kingdom. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."
(Matthew 28:19-20)

purpose

The purpose of this church is to glorify God by obeying the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). The process is designed to produce believers of Jesus Christ which involves at least the following five categories: Preach Salvation, Exalt the Lod Jesus Christ, Equip the Saints, Evangelize the World and Excel in Serving Him.

articles of faith

Our deepest convictions affect every decision we make as a church. While the Bible itself is our formal document of faith, the following statements should help you understand those biblical ideas that most fundamentally define who we are:

Holy Scripture

We believe the Holy Scripture is the inspired, written Word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Holy Trinity

We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of things (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Lordship of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Eternal Son of God became man, without ceasing to be God (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35).

Fall of Man

We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23, 6:23; Acts 4:12).

Salvation through Christ

We believe that salvation, the forgiveness of sins - is available only by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. This is free gift of salvation is offered to all who receives Christ as Lord and Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9; Colossians 2:6; John 3:3, 3:16).

Water Baptism and Lord's Supper

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted 2 ordinances for us to observe - Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Acts 8:36-38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-28).

Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 1:5, 8:2-4).

Sanctification

We believe in the Sanctification which is separated from sin and becomes dedicated to God's righteousness through the help of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:1-13).

Church

We believe in the Church and its mission Ephesians 1:22-23).

Divine Healing

We believe in God's divine healing and urge our people to seek to offer prayer of faith for the healing of the sick. Providential mean and agencies, when deemed necessary not to be refused James 5:14-15).

Rapture

We believe in the Rapture of the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). It is the event in which God removes all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgement to be poured out of the earth during the tribulation period. The rapture is described primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. God will resurrect all believers who have died, give them glorified bodies, and take them from the earth, along with those believers who are still alive and who will at the time be given glorified bodies.

Millennial Reign of Christ

We believe in the Millennial Reign of Christ (Psalm 72:3). It is the 1,000 year reign of Christ and mentioned in only one place in the Scripture and yet tends to be the defining point in end-times beliefs. There are pre-millennialists who believe Christ returns before the millennium begins. Included in this us the popular but recent belief of dispensationalism. Then there are millennialists who do not believe the millennium began there is a specific 1,000 year reign. Finally, we have the post-millennialists who believe that the millennium began at the resurrection of Christ. Pre-millennium take the millennium as a literal 1,000 year period Amillennialists and post-millennialists take is as a figurative number.

Final Judgement

We believe that there will be a Final Judgement (Matthew 25:46). The Day of Judgement will reveal each person's eternal destiny based on their relationship with Jesus Christ. That Day is inescapable and underscores the accountability that we each have for the way we choose to live our lives. As Christians, knowing about this final reckoning should motivate us to share the good new of Christ with others. God desires all people to be saved and they will not have a chance to enter into a relationship of faith unless they hear the gospel. This should also cause us to strive to live a life pleasing to the Lord, since we know that on that Day there will be rewards given, based on what we have done on this life.

New Heaven and Earth

We believe in the New Heaven and New Earth (2 Peter 3:13). The New Heaven and the New Earth is going to be beyond anything that our imagination can even begin to conjure up. This will be the final reward for all of the believers who hold fast to their faith in the Lord during these very trying times and the God the Father Himself will live with all of us and ever.

Act of Worship

We believe that there are 13 biblical way to worship God and should be allowed and encouraged to be practiced among all worship services in the body:

Praise which can be heard (Psalm 66:8, 17; 98:4; Acts 16:25)

Praise the Lord with shouting (Psalm 47:1; 35:27; 95:1)

Singing (Psalm 47:6)

With thanksgiving (Psalm 69:30; 60:23; Isaiah 2:9)

With joyful noise

Crying out (Isaiah 12:5; Psalm 81:26)

With laughter (Psalm 26)

With musical instruments (Psalm 33:2; 57:2; 150)

By bowing and kneeling before Him (Psalm 95:6; Ephesians 3:14; Philippians 2:10-11)
By falling prostate before Him (Nehemiah 8:6)
